Aerospace Engineer job

Project Engineer position for a major aerospace or Electronics Company. Provide technical leadership and guidance in the application of pertinent analyses to technical problems , provide planning and organizational methods for a wide range of engineering activities , perform duties involving the possibility of considerable impact on projects through errors that can be prevented only by a high degree of care and attention. Investigates, evaluates and effects resolution of advanced or unusually complex technical problems in a specialized area of scientific technology. The major responsibility of the sales engineer is to organize all phases of the Company’s sales effort for the sales territory and or customer base.

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager and Product Line Manager, organize and execute the sales and marketing activity for the company’s new and existing product lines. Develop with the Sales and Marketing Manager, as appropriate, selling prices, consistent with customer perceived value and company guidelines. Expand the existing or new products market share. In conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Manager and Product Line Manager, prepare a yearly income or bookings plan, which support corporate goals.

Provide a monthly report to Sales and Marketing Manager on territory, sales activity, and key metrics. Maintain proper utilization of time and territory management. Provide monthly call schedule and travel plans to the Sales and Marketing Manager on rolling basis. Manage travel expenses in accordance with plan or forecast. Coordinate with appropriate personnel on follow up of open quotations to assure receipts of bookings in support of book to ship plan.

Meet forecasted new business quotas as set at the beginning of each fiscal year. Assist in long range sales or margin analysis and marketing strategy for the product line. Review terms and conditions for liabilities on all new proposal and contracts to ensure conformity with company policy. Coordinate visits with customer representatives, arrange and participate in conference as required. Provide technical management for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle projects. Maintain schedules, program plans, and coordinate activities of engineers assigned to project. Perform requirements analysis, system design and prototyping, coordination of lab, ground and flight test. Develop and present viewgraph packages and technical documents.
