Audit Manager Job

Under technical direction, participates in and or coordinates all phases of the audit process including defining the audit scope based on risk sensitivity, testing to ensure adherence with established controls, evaluating control design and adequacy, and presenting known or possible deficiencies and recommendations to management. Participates in and may lead audit projects which may encompass complex accounting and operational processes .Appropriately structures and writes major sections of audit reports and other outputs.

Participates and may lead discussions of audit results with management responsible for the audited area. Effectively utilizes information technology to streamline processes, analyze problems and make decisions. Manages the timely and effective completion of assigned audits, including delegation of audit modules to project team members and overseeing the delivery of output. Reviews the thoroughness of work papers and updates team and management on progress. Provides appropriate and timely guidance to assigned team.

Identify issues and recommend creative solutions to complex client issues. Work and communicate effectively with staff and clients to enhance their understanding of business and tax issues. Direct and control engagement planning process to successful completion. Participate in billing and collection process. Pursue opportunities to provide additional services, pursue leads , and retain clients. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with individual clients and appropriate financial officers. Coach and develop staff’s understanding of our business and general business world.
Audit Manager Must have years of recent managerial experience in a quality public accounting firm. Past experience should include managing audits, reviews, and compilations serving a variety of industries including biotech, distribution, real estate, consumer services and technology for both public and or privately owned clients. CPA designation is required. SEC experiences a plus. A highly competitive salary and benefits package is offered.
