Program will provide technical services for an information assurance program. Administers Oracle, Sybase, and SQL server databases in either UNIX or Windows environments. Leads and provides consultation on strategic direction for design, development, integration, documentation and maintenance of complex databases, conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases. Directs, establishes strategies and requirements for the design, implementation and test of database backup, recovery systems, database migration and archiving systems and procedures.
Researches and provides input on issues related to strategic direction for database security. Provides enterprise level modeling for making customers and their needs a primary focus of one's actions, develops and sustains productive, high level customer relationships as they relate to complex and large scale projects, actively seeks information to understand customers' circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs, presents project level information to senior level customers to build their understanding of issues and capabilities, considers how complex project level decisions or actions or plans will affect customers, responds quickly to meet significant customer needs and resolve complex problems, provides enterprise level thought leadership on monitoring and evaluating customer concerns, issues, and satisfaction and to anticipate customer needs.
Advanced, expert knowledge of the security of architecture, electronic data communications, network or data, electronic commerce, electronic commerce, and other related areas to provide computing security and integration services to company computer users and customers. Interfaces with the appropriate government agencies, customers, suppliers, and company personnel in order to facilitate implementation of protective mechanisms and to ensure understanding of and compliance with computing security requirements.
Design and build client database systems using a variety of tools and platforms. Deploy database systems for corporate and government clients. Support client database systems with excellent technical and customer service skills. The Database Architect will be responsible for providing architectural and 'big picture' oversight for the database development of a large scale ERP supporting regional healthcare software. Defines transition steps from the current to future application architecture including introduction of new features and interoperability with existing applications.
