Ecological Consultant job

Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. is currently looking for a Water Resources Practice Lead for our Pittsburgh Office. The Water Resources Practice Lead must have a mix of technical, engineering and business development experience. This person will be responsible for the development and management of the services and personnel of the Water Resources Pittsburgh Group, in coordination with the office lead, the Water Resources Corporate Practice Lead, and senior management. CEC’s Water Resources services include hydraulics and hydrology, water quality, watershed management, storm water or drainage management, economic analysis, FEMA flood map maintenance and modernization, and river or stream restoration.
The Water Resources Practice works closely with our Civil or Site Development, Ecological, and Environmental practices to bring fully integrated services to our clients throughout the US. Projects involve regulatory interpretation, technical analysis and reporting, as well as site design projects. Identify key hires to build the Water Resource practice in our Pittsburgh office. Business or client development for the Water Resources Practice, including developing and implementing strategic client marketing plans in concert with the corporate Water Resources marketing plan. Determining staffing levels within the group in conjunction with the Office Leads.
Coordinate and prepare project information in relation to pre planning in conjunction with Office Leads, Water Resources Corporate Practice Lead and Project Managers. Conduct marketing activities and make contacts throughout the designated regional marketing area or counties. Make presentations to various potential clients, Project related when Sheds is short listed, Introductory to new clients, Compile monthly and annual detailed information regarding contacts made using a format provided by Sheds. This information is turned in for management review quarterly.
Develop annual goals for the office. Work with the Statewide Coordinators to insure that branch goals align with corporate goals for the office. Develop the marketing plan that will be used to reach the sales goals. Work with the Statewide Coordinators to insure that branch marketing plan aligns with corporate plan. Recruit and hire positions within the branch office as needed and approved. Develop annual branch budget. Review and be responsible for assessing and responding to monthly profit and loss statements, and monitoring of office metrics as set out by the Operations Manager.
