Editor Job

The Editor position at Rosetta stone is a broad ranging position that encapsulates the responsibilities of a variety of disciplines from traditional editing to project management. Our work is primarily focused on developing content for new releases of Rosetta stone’s language learning software, but we also work on an assortment of other projects in a variety of media. Depending on the project, we must coordinate the work of language experts, provide pedagogically sound advice to other departments, or work as traditional writers or editors. All projects are related to languages and language learning.

The ideal candidate will be self motivated, detail oriented, team players with an interest in language learning demonstrated by a familiarity with more than one language. This candidate should possess experience that combines editing, writing, second language acquisition, project management and teaching experience. Work with and coordinate language teams to create the Rosetta stone software in new languages. Review, edit and prioritize improvements to the current language products. Edit script in English or any other language known to the candidate.

The Online Editorial group has an opening for a passionate, innovative, organized assistant editor. The assistant online editor will assist the senior editor in the content development and maintenance program for online academic reference products created for the institutional market. Working with online product development, technology, data managers, and marketing, the assistant online editor will be a prime stakeholder for content of sites that are updated several times a year managing workflows for public pages, supervising freelancers, and writing copy for public pages. Strong organizational skills and an ability to develop or maintain claims, reference information and style guides, Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
