Factoring Officer Job

Review assigned loans to ensure that they are completely and accurately assessed for risk of default and probable loss. Independently evaluate all risk factors and formulate a risk grade for the relationship. Evaluate the execution of various activities in the business lending process including the review of credit files, legal documentation, documentation exceptions and ongoing client servicing. Ensure the prompt identification of business loans having potential credit issues and appropriately classify loans with defined credit weaknesses. Utilize ongoing portfolio monitoring reports, to identify segments and individual relationships that may exhibit elevated risk levels for detailed loan file review. As a senior reviewer, will be expected to recognize trends or other factors indicating elevated risk that may be a cause for further review.

Produce reports on the results of loan file reviews and portfolio monitoring to all necessary levels in business lending, from the account officer to senior management. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business or equivalent education and related training. Seven or more years of commercial lending experience. Experienced in underwriting commercial loans to middle market, corporate and commercial real estate borrowers. Ability to interact with all levels of management. Strong analytical and decision making skills. Good computer skills with a familiarity of data base systems. Ability to travel as required.

Receives technical and administrative supervision from the Manager of Safety Services, Safety Services Manager, Principal Safety Specialist or Engineer, or supervisory level Senior Safety Specialist or Engineer. If assigned full time on a project, receives supervision and work assignments from the Project Safety Services Supervisor, Project ES and H Manager, Project Manager, or Construction Manager. May directly supervise other safety specialists or engineers and provide technical oversight and direction to subcontractors.
Maintains relationships with internal organizations, customer, and contractor or subcontractor representatives to coordinate technical or scientific issues, new technologies, and integration of safety functional responsibilities into project proposals, design specifications, construction plans and schedules, and subcontractor bid packages. Maintains contact, as appropriate, with government regulatory and resource agencies to obtain current information on new regulations, program initiatives, and technical requirements and standards.
