Flight Engineer job

EG and G Technical Services Inc has an immediate opportunity for a Systems Engineer experienced in UAS flight operations. You will join a team that provides program, engineering and technical support to Program and the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance Demonstrator flight operations, assigned exercises and or experiments. You will work in UAS flight operations, scheduling, airspace integration and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures development, participate as a crew member to include but not limited to Mission Commander, Tactical Coordinator, Sensor Operator, Liaison Officer, TAGS Database Manager, etc. Assist in Airspace Integration activities, for BAMS D airspace access, develop documentation for Certificates of Authorization, Letters of Agreements, and Memorandums of Understanding, etc. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related scientific field and Five to Seven years of technical job related experience. Requires UAS Operational hands on experience flight operations, scheduling, airspace integration and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures. Requires the ability to work with government and contractor personnel, experience in DOD or Navy aviation related programs, systems engineering or integration. This position exercises a high degree of originality and sound judgment in formulating, evaluating, and correlating broad engineering research concepts, guiding the analysis of unique problems and developing new and improved techniques and methods. The individual selected for this position will perform a total review of assigned system to identify opportunities for improvement, existing shortfalls, and propose technical, operational, or process improvements to improve the quality of the assigned system. Review system design and implementation including low level hardware or software interfaces to ensure that safety is not impacted.
Provide expert analysis and recommendations for improving system design, creating a safe operational environment and identifying risks to the program and flight test phase of assigned projects. Attend meetings and training as required. Mentor engineers in specific technical areas and or the system engineering process and project management principles. Report status to Senior Technical Lead and or Task Focal Point as required. Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Science, PhD preferred.
