KUSATV is hiring a Multi Media reporter or producer. Applicants must have experience in on air reporting as well as line producing daily newscasts. Successful candidates will be interested in producing on air newscast, online content and in the field reporting. In addition, applicants must have experience in video photography and video editing. This position is one that will be scheduled in various shifts and assignments each week. Candidates will be asked to take news writing test as well as a video audition. Must be a strong writer, strong tease writer and accomplished copy editor.
Must have experience dealing with breaking news. Must have non linear editing skills. Producer will plan content, write stories, build graphics and be responsible for the creative execution of all elements of the newscast. Producer will be expected to brainstorm and use production techniques, graphics and new forms of media to visually enhance the show. Producer or reporter will regularly write stories for 9NEWS.com, including attaching images and streaming video. Reporter must be able to enterprise news stories. Reporter will be able to shoot, write and edit packaged reports.
Reporter must be a solid live presenter. Minimum years television producing and or reporting experience preferred. Some web publishing or streaming experience required. Journalism and or Mass Communication degree preferred. To be considered a non returnable resume tape and references must be provided. Enterprises and reports daily business or consumer news stories for on air and online. Writes scripts for stories and reviews material with editor. This is an important role in our local information center. Our multimedia Sports reporter will research and develop hyper local sports stories, features and segments. This is not the traditional highlight driven sportscast delivered in the traditional manner. The reporter will anchor segments and front stories live as necessary. This is in no way a Monday thru Friday position. The successful candidate must not only have the right skill, which includes shooting and writing his or her own material, but also have the right team attitude.
