CEi seeks Quality Engineers for our Sacramento, CA office. The Quality Engineer, through integrated product or process team participation contributes to product and process design and implementation for compliance to customer requirements and the prevention and resolution of non conformances. Works with bid team and project engineers to define and document inspection and test processes and plans and ensure manufacturing capability of product.
Reviews contracts for quality requirements, and flows down requirements as needed to subcontractors through review of purchase requisitions. Interfaces with customers and customer quality representatives. Works with purchasing to qualify suppliers, including on site surveys. Participates in design reviews on cross functional teams to ensure that predictability, inspect ability, reliability, safety, and quality system objectives are met. During reviews, ensures that related quality considerations are well defined and documented in a quality plan. Works with engineering to evaluate drawings, specifications.
Works with quality inspectors and engineers to establish inspection criteria. Reviews, analyzes, and approves technical documentation that impacts QA or inspection activities or requirements. Classifies characteristics to highlight critical design features requiring intensified inspection and to establish sampling levels for other features. Prepares documentation to support delivery, including verification that applicable changes have been incorporated. Analyzes performance reports and process. Prepares and controls statistics in order to determine and improve process capability or product quality.
