Software Engineer job

The Manager leads a team of software test engineers and technicians for development of advanced in flight entertainment systems, aircraft communication systems and supporting systems. The Manager will oversee software project engineering to design, develop, and integrate software products into aircraft and ground based equipment through engineering analysis, research and design. Lead and contribute to the development of our client's software products. Manage the work and performance of the Software Engineering group. Plan engineering efforts and doles out assignments accordingly. Interface with program teams to develop aircraft systems.

Staff projects with contractors and manages contractors as needed. Develop internal operating procedures. Plans and carries out work assignments, resolves most conflicts which arise, coordinates work with others as necessary, interprets policy on own initiative in terms of established objectives. Keeps Team leader informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far reaching implications. Trains, assigns work to, and checks work of more Team members, participates in the decision to hire, fire, and promote Team members, generally does not conduct the same work as Team members on a regular basis. Familiarity with communications systems and design.

Years experience leading an engineering team is the important requirement. Previous experience in planning, implementing, and administering engineering programs and projects is the must. Practical experience in software systems design and integration then only they can implement there work. Must be willing to travel it is the must because this job is like that. Regular attendance is required. Must have a positive attitude then only he or she is considered as software engineer. Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the clients’ culture, that is, exhibit the clients’ values of being Dynamic, Intuitive, Innovative, Passionate and Responsible.

Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance. Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the position is located. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License. The candidate should pass background check and drug test. When working or traveling on parent companies flights, and if time permits, all capable Team members are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft are some requirements of this job. Must be computer literate with Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Project. Experience with several software development environments including C, Linux, RTOS, and database.
