Typist job

The Clerk Typist, Sr. working for the Institute of Animal Studies will assist in placing animal orders into Database, generate and print cage cards and animal arrival information, and match up cage cards and arrival slips by vendor or building and distribute to appropriate supervision. She will also answer telephones and direct calls, assist Director by taking messages and directing inquiries, schedule appointments, greet callers and visitors and direct to the appropriate person, open and distribute mail, copy materials, faxing, filing, assist with billing and perform other related duties as assigned. A local insurance company has a part time opening for a policy typist.

This is a temporary position requiring individuals to work some hours a week. There is a possibility that the position will be up a few additional hours, if needed. The company is looking for someone who has experience working with various insurance policies. Qualified candidates will have an eye for detail and must be an extremely good typist. Types reports, memorandums and other material from copy or rough draft using either a personal computer. Types at an average of wpm and can transcribe minutes from management meetings using audio tapes.

Proofreads and corrects grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors. Faxes and retrieves incoming messages. Answers departmental telephones and takes messages. Routes phone calls to appropriate person. Opens, screens and routes mail according to content. Sorts, alphabetizes and files materials. Operates office machines and duplication equipment. Sends and retrieves messages via E Mail. Orders office supplies and equipment. Attends in service training sessions as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Personnel Services is seeking Transcriptions for full time and Part time positions in the Springfield area. We are looking for candidates who have a strong work ethic and desire. This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate with a full range of benefits offered after hire. Schedules are flexible with Full and part time opportunities. Candidate will be responsible for taking minutes as requested for Communications projects. He or She will be expected to record minutes using a tape recorder, hand written, or typed. Candidate will then type the minutes in a predetermined format to be delivered free of spelling and grammatical errors. The recorded minutes and notes will be used with a recorded playback ticket to type a written account of the meetings.
